A private assistant that reads the page with you, and now can act on it too. Bring your own keys, pick any model, and keep everything local.
When two particles become entangled, measuring one instantly tells you about the other, no matter how far apart they are. Einstein hated the idea. Decades of experiments say he was wrong.

Ask anything
It lives on the page you're already reading. Asterysk sees the page as context, so you can ask about an article, a doc or a pull request without copying and pasting anything.
Give it a task in the side panel and it works in your current tab: clicking, typing, choosing options, scrolling, navigating and moving between tabs. It can take screenshots to understand a page and save what it finds as a CSV, JSON or Markdown file. Agent mode is available on Chrome, Edge, Arc and Dia.
You stay in charge. A glow marks the tab it's working in and you can watch every step. It stops and hands control back for logins, payment details and CAPTCHAs, asks before buying anything or sending a message, and treats text on web pages as information, not instructions.
Nowhere but the provider you choose. There are no Asterysk servers and no tracking. API keys, settings and chat history are stored locally in your browser.
Anthropic, OpenAI and Google Gemini directly, plus anything available through OpenRouter or Vercel AI Gateway. On Apple devices you can also use Apple's on-device Foundation Models in Safari.
Chrome, Edge, Arc, Dia and other Chromium browsers, Firefox, and Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad.
For cloud models, yes. You bring your own key and pay the provider directly for what you use. Apple's on-device model needs no key.
Click the Asterysk icon in your toolbar or press ⇧⌘L on any page. You can also highlight text, right-click and choose Send to Asterysk. Pin the extension so it's always one click away.
